Yogyakarta, 12/11/2020-BoJLE held a Visiting Professor program in the Javanese Language Learning Media & IT course. On this occasion, the study program invited Prof. Dr. Supyan Hussin from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as a guest speaker.

Sleman, October 25, 2020, the 2020 Javanese Language Student Association held Sesrawungan ing Masarakat (SESIMA) which is one of the work programs of the Public Relations Division. SESIMA, which is funded by the DIPA budget, aims to introduce and preserve the culture of the area visited to the HIMA JAWA community.

Meinita Istantiani, a graduate student of the Javanese Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture, Yogyakarta State University, as Indonesia's representative, won a gold medal at the prestigious "1 Idea 1 Word" International Innovation, Design, and Startup Competition held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Local Language Education students of UNY won two championships at the Maca Geguritan Adult Level competition held by the Sleman Regency Cultural Office (Kundha Kabudayan) on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Nur Rosyid Hidayat won first place and Nepty Yanuari won third place. Both are sixth semester Regional Language Education students.

Yogyakarta, May 4, 2024 - The Javanese Language Education Study Program sent six lecturers as Badminton athletes in the Interfaculty Sports Week (POR) organized by Yogyakarta State University. The Interfaculty Sports Week (POR) is part of a series of activities that enliven UNY's 60th Anniversary. The badminton sport was held for three days, namely Wednesday-Jum'at on May 1-3, 2024 and was attended by all faculties and units at UNY.

Lecturer of Javanese Language Education, Faculty of Language, Art, and Culture of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta participated in The Third APPBIPA-THAILAND (Indonesian Teacher's Association in Thailand) Conference in Indonesian Language & Culture for Non-Native in Thailand. The lecturer who attended this international conference was Avi Meilawati, S.Pd., M.A.

Mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Daerah UNY mendapatkan dua juara pada lomba Maca Geguritan Tingkat Dewasa yang diadakan oleh Dinas Kebudayaan (Kundha Kabudayan) Kabupaten Sleman pada Selasa 30 Juli 2024. Nur Rosyid Hidayat berhasil mendapatkan juara pertama dan Nepty Yanuari meraih juara ketiga. Keduanya merupakan mahasiswa/i Pendidikan Bahasa Daerah semester enam.
